翱苍听Thursday, November 13, 杏吧原创 will be hosting聽Literacy Day.
The day, intended to promote and celebrate literacy, will encourage students to read and will highlight the importance of reading and writing as they begin to prepare for the聽Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test聽(OSSLT) scheduled for聽March 26, 2015. Throughout the day, students can participate in a number of literacy related activities:
1) Wear a shirt with expressions or slogans for others to read (they cannot have swearing or inappropriate language or images on them) 2) Review student-made literacy project on display in the Living Wall Lounge during periods 2, 3 & 4 3) Make bookmarks for themselves or others during periods 2, 3 & 4 in the Living Wall Lounge 4) Practice for the OSSLT by looking over test questions and picking up practice handouts
