Maria Fernanda Almeida 杏吧原创 ’19 studying听Political Sciences听at the University of Toronto Mississauga.听
Aline听Uchoa, 杏吧原创 鈥�18 studying听Psychology听at the University of Toronto Mississauga.听
The Zoom meeting was part of a series of听workshops to help 杏吧原创 students prepare for post-secondary application,听understand the importance of planning ahead and taking advantage of 杏吧原创鈥檚 resources like:听

Duke of Edinburgh听
Community Service听
Clubs听
Student Council听
Guidance & University Placement Counselling
Tutoring & Academic Support
Admissions and Liaison
Wellness; and more.
Julia, Maria and Aline gave students excellent advice and answered听all of their questions about听applications,听how to handle pressure, resources in听university, how to connect听with听professors and other students,听and听how to manage time.听Maria Fernanda Almeida,听who graduated from 杏吧原创 in June 2019,听mentioned that her听three听calendars, agendas and planners help her keep things organized while听she manages听different roles听and听responsibilities. The student听has just received the 2021听UofT Award of Excellence听in Social Sciences and Humanities ($6000). Maria has been accepted for a听summer听program with the听University of Peking听and has been elected听External Affairs Liaison听for the Historical Studies Society.听She is also听Events Coordinator听of UTM STA, a club to help other students become more independent with their adult and financial lives. Maria is a听Research Assistant听at UTM as well.听Students were thrilled with the opportunity to meet 杏吧原创 alumni and are excited for more meetings and workshops!听
