received their听program听certificate at听the听University鈥檚听St. George campus听
Sixteen听杏吧原创听students听have听successfully completed the听Global Citizenship Challenge听(GCC) co-hosted by听the听University of Toronto听and 杏吧原创.听The program was an听intensive experience in team-building and problem solving for motivated students to take on听water scarcity听– an unsolved problem affecting our global community.Through case studies, class discussions and research, the students听thoroughly听researched the issue from multiple perspectives and brainstormed with teammates to explore the complex social, economic and environmental reasons for听the听lack of safe water supply.Each participant created their own solution,听then听explained and defended their approach in a 鈥淭own Hall鈥� style debate in the final class.听Another听benefit听for 杏吧原创 students听participating in this special program was having access to Quercus, UofT鈥檚 learning hub! Quercus听is an online teaching and learning system听exclusive听to UofT听students,听faculty,听and staff,听but 杏吧原创 students could听get a taste of it before听getting听into university!Friday, July 30th听was听the last day of the program听and听杏吧原创 students听were excited to go听to St. George campus to receive听the听University听of Toronto听Global Citizenship Challenge Certificates!听
