Relay for Life 杏吧原创 is looking for students who are interested in making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer by participating in this year鈥檚 Relay for Life event.Along with raising funds and awareness for cancer research, this annual event seeks to 鈥celebrate the lives of those who are living with cancer鈥 and 鈥remember loved ones lost to cancer.鈥 The 12 hour marathon event is scheduled to begin on Friday, November 13th and end at 7am on Saturday, November 14th. Music, movies, arts and crafts and guest speakers are a few of the activities planned for those participating. The Relay for Life event is popular fundraising initiative at Columbia as it promotes optimism and teaches key character traits like caring, teamwork, respect, inclusiveness, responsibility, and perseverance.聽 All funds raised through the event will assist in:
  • Preventing cancer,
  • Funding research to outsmart cancer,
  • Empowering, informing and supporting Canadians living with cancer, and
  • Advocating for public policies to improve the health of Canadians.
